Opalite is a transparent to translucent stone that has a milky iridescent blue glow to it. This is enhanced when the stone is placed against a dark colored backdrop, because it creates a more luminous glow.

Opalite is believed to be the stone of eternity because it brings understanding of the true self and of the free spirit. It is thought to allow us to understand not just what we can see, but also the unseen and the illusive. This stone can remind us to slow down enough to enjoy life, therefore, Opalite represents Calmness and Lightness.
